“Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess…”
Dancing Dolls, created by fashion designer Paulinah Eboh-Sampson, has recently launched its new collection in the form of ‘Closet Princess’.
Paulinah, the creative director, fashion designer and one-woman-band for the womenswear label prides herself on creating a high-end high street brand, which specialises in handmade ready-to-wear attire and swimwear. Paulinah currently designs, pattern cuts and makes all of the garments for the brand which is based here in the UK.
The most recent Closet Princess collection draws inspiration from the cliched line that tends to end most fairytales: ‘And they all lived happily ever after.’ As we all know, this is very much a distortion on the reality of life – not everything has a fairytale ending. However, Paulinah wanted to address and explore the notion of ‘happily ever after’ in a way that allowed that whimsical ideal to be incorporated for the modern woman – letting their attire be a representative of themselves.
Deep, rich fabrics make up the strong yet somehow delicate collection – a clever mix of feminine charm mixed with a hard edge of spikes. Welcome the modern princesses…

“It’s not just in fairytales where there are princesses, we all deserve our ‘happily ever after’ – to be that princess…even if only in our closet…”
