Rachael Anne Divers is a freelance Fashion and Beauty Journalist, Makeup Artist and Nail Technician based in the Yorkshire region.
Having trained as a Journalist at Leeds Trinity and All Saints University College, and also having had training in Fashion Design and Clothing at the prestigious University of Leeds, Rachael has a wealth of knowledge within the fashion journalism sector.
Alongside her journalism offerings, Rachael is also a fully qualified Nail Technician and Makeup Artist, having trained at Izabelle Hammon with the Calgel system and the Beauty Academy where she specialised in Bobbi Brown, MAC and Illamasqua makeup application.
During her journalism career, Rachael has taken on roles at a number of well known establishments including: Yelp - where she worked as a scout helping to build the UK website up in the Leeds area. The Guardian - where she worked with the fashion desk, styling a shoot for the New York band, The Drums for a G2 magazine feature. The Barnsley Eye and Wakefield Eye - where she hosted her own fashion and beauty column. The Yorkshire Business Network, Adelto, and most recently FAB (Fabulous African Black) magazine.
She currently helps with styling and make-up artistry at her family’s photography business, John Divers Photography, as well as working as a makeup artist at the cult makeup brand, Illamasqua. She also writes freelance for local magazines.
During her career, Rachael has interviewed many household names such as; Max Clifford, Kenneth Tong, Elizabeth Dankaro, Joey Bevan, Sam Faiers, Chris Atkinson, Candy Jacobs, Masato Jones and Laura Summers. She hopes this list will extend in the near future.
Currently, Rachael takes on commission based work which sees her working with all types of clients from hotel chains such as the Malmaison to lifestyle coach professionals.
